Have a Zund M-1600 and a M-1600s
with regards to kiss cutting pressure sensitive labels
The i-Cut manual says knife pressure for these tables is not
controlled using i-Cut, however another operator is changing the
knife pressure in i-Cut I would like to be more certain if this has any effect?.
Also any suggestion for knife pressure setting (grams)?
Also would like to know how to call up the firmware version on
these machines?
Is there any documentation explaning what each menu parameter does (not just the menu tree)?

First of all, it depends on which tool head you have regarding controlling the kiss cut pressure.

If you have the C2 head (Small tool head with only kiss cut tool), the pressure is controlled by the machine or i-cut.

If you have the TZTP head, (Larger head with two seperate tool slots), kiss cut is controlled only with the spring on the tool.

Pressure settings are dependant on the blade style, material thickness and current blade wear. This value can vary greatly but is usually between 70-150 grams of pressure.

Firmware version is dependant on which eprom chip is installed. I dont know if its possible to check in the control panel but if you look at the chip, it will have a sticker on it as to what version it is.
